About The Course

This comprehensive course is designed specifically for registered nurses who may find themselves working with individuals nearing the end of life or in situations where they are expected to verify a death. Throughout this course, participants will gain valuable insights into the intricacies of verifying death, including how to accurately assess when they are authorized to do so and when certain circumstances may prevent them from proceeding. In addition to learning the practical steps required to confirm a death, nurses will also be guided on what to do when they are not in a position to verify it themselves. This course will further equip nurses with the knowledge of what to expect in the events following death verification, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle these sensitive situations with professionalism and care.
